Elizabeth making changes!!

This last pregnancy I started off weighing 224 lbs. (1st picture). As soon as I found out I was pregnant I flipped a switch, knew I had to be healthy because everything I put into my body was going to be directly affecting my pregnancy. I reached out to Donna (midwife & family friend) & we got to work. I cut out carbs & sugars among other things & I did a high protein diet and lots of fruits and veggies and I was losing weight while pregnant, Donna told me that at the end of my pregnancy I would weigh less than I was at the moment and I almost didn’t believe it. At the end of my pregnancy I weighed in at 212 & a week post partum weighed 190. That’s a total of 34 pounds!

These pictures show me from 6-9 months pregnant and I felt good this time around. & yes, I’ve been pregnant since last summer and no one noticed. I was given the tools to advocate for myself with the military doctors & always made sure I listened to my body.

Super happy with what I accomplished and what my body will continue to accomplish especially during this breastfeeding journey!
