A Letter from Elizabeth

Having the pleasure of being one of your ladies has been incredible!

I still remember being a little girl and you arriving at our home in Idaho. My mom had just given birth to my sister! I've dreamed of having a home birth for so long, and I know the day it happens, I'll feel complete!I 

I remember the first time I read your book, Powerfully Pregnant, and I was amazed by all the wonderful women who have been under your care. I read the recipes, recommendations, dos and don'ts when I was young. Later, in 2014, I found out I was pregnant and knew I wanted to follow your program. I was so young, 19, and stationed in Virginia at the time; my mom was across the country, and I was scared. You held my hand from afar and helped me through everything, and each time a new stage of pregnancy approached, you explained what we were going to go through and experience. I didn't listen to you the whole time, and it showed when I had to receive additional care from you, but you made sure we adjusted and overcame the issues. I moved quickly to my birth and was able to have a natural birth with the support of my mother, my husband, and you.

In 2022, I found out I was pregnant again! I was so excited, and we had stayed in touch for years, so as soon as I found out, I reached out to you again. I was determined to follow your program! Your program gave me so much information, so much wisdom, and so much care! I felt empowered to advocate for myself when I had to make my routine medical appointments at my military care facility. The doctors were amazed at how much I knew and how steadfast I was and didn't give in. When I got the call that I was in a high-risk pregnancy, you said, "Elizabeth, don't worry, everything will be okay. Here's what we're going to do..." And you proceeded to recommend some supplements and explained how they would help me. I immediately ordered them and started taking them. Time passed, and everything seemed fine. My pregnancy was very easy, and I could tell the huge difference between my first pregnancy and this one because I followed the program so strictly. I was determined to mimic my mother's pregnancy and labor. 

When it was time to have my little girl, I called you. My mother was with me, and we all had a sweet moment of reminiscing. Then we went to the hospital to have the baby. I arrived and told them I wanted a bouncy ball and that I wanted to deliver in the kneeling cow position. I had such control that the doctors were amazed at how calm and collected I was throughout the whole process. When I was dilated to an 8, they said I needed to lie down on the bed because I was walking, and they felt the baby was going to fall out since I wasn't in any pain. I laid down on the bed, but I didn't deliver on my back at all. Everything went so smoothly, and I was ready to push! I told the nurse, and she asked me to wait. I looked at my mom and she told me that she would catch the baby, if I didn't want to wait. I quickly squatted down and the room filled with nurses and doctors and I began pushing, once, twice, and a beautiful, healthy baby girl came out without a problem! She latched immediately and everything was wonderful and beautiful. The doctors said they had never seen such calm and control. Everything we did had purpose and meaning. 

I have raved about Powerfully Pregnant to so many people, and they have all been amazed by their bodies and the program. I could not have had such a beautiful and healthy pregnancy without your guidance and help. Thank you so much for empowering not only me, but countless women around the world. I can't wait to continue working with you the next time I get pregnant!
